Old friends

I've been planning the U.S. portion of the trip and am hoping to drop in on some old friends on the way and maybe follow Route 66 for a time. Here's the bike in front of the backwaters of the Mighty Mississippi with the new tank installed.

Preparing the bike

I'm not particularly handy but I'm trying to learn as much as possible about my bike before I hit the road. Right now, it's in many pieces as I try to put on a different gas tank. Hopefully, the next post will have a picture with the new tank on but I'm not holding my breath.
